History
The Department of Animal Science was established on July 20, 1982, as one of the four departments of the Faculty of Agriculture at Trakya University in Tekirdağ, in accordance with Regulation and Statute No. 41.
Currently, the department operates under the Faculty of Agriculture at Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University, offering not only undergraduate programs but also graduate (MSc) and doctoral (PhD) education.
To date, our department has graduated approximately 1,100 undergraduate, 253 master's, and 30 doctoral students.
